Greetings in the Name of Jesus Christ!

On behalf of the UCCP General Assembly, it is my distinct honor and joy to announce to all that we shall have the 9th Quadrennial General Assembly of the United Church of Christ in the Philippines to be held in Silliman University Church, Dumaguete City on 24-29 May 2010. We shall be reflecting on the theme 'Discerning God's Will in These Critical Times.'

As a Church, we shall also attend to the election of our General Assembly officers. This is in itself a formidable challenge because we shall elect women and men to take the lead for the forthcoming quadrennium. As faithful members of the UCCP, I urge and challenge you to reflect and discern with us the enormous tasks we face, given the present difficulties in our church and country as well.

But in all of these, I knew we shall overcome, because we have Jesus Christ as the Lord of Life and History to lead us.
